Technicians

The schedule is Sunday through Friday, with Saturday and one additional day off, 6 PM-2:30 AM.

Job Summary:

Technicians are responsible for cleaning an industrial kitchen and food processing. Technicians are accountable for the daily cleaning of floors, processing equipment, knives, pails, etc. This job collaborates closely with Quality Control to ensure that all USDA and HACCP criteria are satisfied nightly. The position needs the employee to do any combination of the following duties in order to maintain a clean working environment in a food manufacturing facility: Cleans the floor of the manufacturing area by eliminating trash, repositioning floor mats, collecting food items, and shredding empty cardboard boxes. Utilizes a high-pressure water hose to thoroughly pre-rinse all equipment, tables, and work surfaces. Using nylon brushes and abrasive cleaning pads, clean and scrub all work surfaces, machinery, and utensils with soap and water. Rinses every surface and piece of equipment. Apply a disinfectant to equipment, work surfaces, and the floor. Using the same method, the barrels, utensils, and pans are cleaned and sanitized. Drains and drain pits are cleaned and debris is removed. Place garbage and debris in bins after emptying containers. Use an electric or manual pallet jack to transport the container to the rubbish disposal place. Utilize a forklift to empty totes.

Responsible for sweeping the floor and maintaining a waste-free environment, maintaining the disposal area, and hosing down forklifts and equipment in the garbage disposal area.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up 40lbs. Ability to work in a refrigerated environment, 36 degrees Able to work with industrial chemicals and cleaning products Use rubber and latex gloves Must be able to take direction in English Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
